FES Ukraine

Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Ukraine

FES Ukraine is part of the international network of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES). The FES has been working continuously in Ukraine since 1993. Over the years, FES Ukraine has developed a wide network of partners in civil society, academia, trade unions and government institutions on local, regional and national levels. Our goals have been consistent from the start: To support the development of democratic institutions and a social market economy, to advocate for the core values of social democracy – freedom, justice and solidarity – and to involve Ukrainian stakeholders in international dialogue formats that further international peace and cooperation.

Ukraine’s candidate status for the European Union provides a clear framework for the future development of state and society. FES strongly believes in the European future of Ukraine as a prosperous, stable and socially just democracy, and will continue working towards that goal with its Ukrainian and international partners.
