Information trip of journalists from Latin America to Ukraine
From June 27 to June 1, a group of journalists from Latin America - Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia and El Salvador - made an information trip to Ukraine.
The visit was initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and implemented in partnership with the International Renaissance Foundation and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Ukraine.
During the visit, media representatives had meetings with the President of Ukraine, the First Lady, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and they took part in the presentation of the first Communication Strategy "Ukraine - States of Latin America and the Caribbean".
They also visited Buch, Irpen, Borodyanka in the Kyiv region, visited Chernobyl, which became not only the sign of the tragedy in 1986, but also the example of the crime of the Russian army in 2022.
The participants also met with the Ombudsman of the President of Ukraine on children's rights, members of parliament, representatives of leading organizations of Ukrainian civil society. Representatives of the Latin American media talked with Latin Americans who live in Ukraine, with fighters of the International Legion who come from Latin American countries, with entrepreneurs from their countries who work in Ukraine. In addition, they visited the Sophia Cathedral, the Holodomor Museum, and in addition, they visited the Sophia Cathedral, the Holodomor Museum, and took a tour of the Kyiv city center with Nobel laureate Oleksandra Matviychuk, where the events of the Revolution of Dignity took place.
